This is an excellent, free resource for estimating your caloric needs, your caloric and macronutrient composition of your diets and your energy expenditure estimations.  Simply sign up for a free account and begin logging the foods you eat on a daily basis using their extensive database.

If you are interested in tracking your dietary intake yourself using something like Microsoft Excel, here is a great database you can use to search most any food you're going to eat. 







We did not type descriptions for all the various recipe websites we enjoy as it would be monotonous. You want unbiased information handed to you from an extremely rational, intelligent professional dealing in nutrition and exercise, Alan’s your man.  This guy never ceases to amaze us with his information.  All of his products, services and articles are worth checking out.  Alan is a continuing education provider for the Commission on Dietetic Registration, National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, and National Strength & Conditioning Association. He speaks to a broad audience including universities, scientific conferences, and major corporations. Alan recently lectured to practitioners at the FDA and the annual conference of the Los Angeles Dietetic Association. He maintains a private practice, designing programs for recreational and professional athletes.
