Steve Troutman
NSCA-CPT, NASM-CPT

Steve Troutman is a professional fitness and health consultant who began helping people lose weight eight years ago when he started a website geared towards healthy lifestyle modifications for the obese.  He is a Certified Personal Trainer by way of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Though Steve has worked in the one-on-one training capacity in gyms and homes, he’s found his fit reaching people on the World Wide Web.  He has developed a reputation of halting the spread of misinformation in the various fitness communities he belongs to.

With a strong drive for education and research, he has molded a great balance between science, application, education, implementation, and motivation.  This balance has been the fuel for long-lasting and consistent results for his clients.  Steve is experienced with all facets of health and fitness, though if he were to choose a niche; it would have to be weight loss.

Steve is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.

You can contact Steve at steve@body-improvements.com.
The Team

One might say Gordy and Steve were destined to cross paths.  They met being next-door-neighbors in Linden Hall at East Stroudsburg University.  They instantly bonded and a great friendship ensued.  As the years passed, it became very evident their dreams were aligned.
While Gordy was studying exercise science, Steve was studying economics and finance.  That said, a day didn't go by when each didn't have their face buried in books or research dealing with exercise and nutrition.  If they weren't researching, they were debating how best train the various populations one encounters as a personal trainer.  What's left is a set of values evolved from years of trial and error, research and application.  Though both can be hard-headed at times, neither is close-minded.  They both admittedly keep their "ears to the floor" when it comes to the training industry, always willing to listen to what other professionals have tried and succeeded with.

As Steve likes to say, "Just like the human body, this career, as well as the research and knowledge that it is built upon, is a never-ending work in progress.

Don't be fooled though, life isn't all work and no play for these two.  They are both active in outdoors and sports.  In fact, they returned from a grueling hike known as the Presidential Traverse on the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  After being stuck in a blizzard with 100+ mph winds and breaking into a cabin simply to survive, they returned home armed with some amazing stories.  They hope to build a significant resume of hikes and climbs so one day they can tackle Everest.  Ventures up Rainier, McKinley and a few others must be tackled first.
